The Supply Program or SP provides our associates with the ultimate supply strategy.
Through the SP Century fulfill any need and specific requirements of our customers through an evaluation and detection process. This means we develop a tailor made program according to our associate needs.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

SP once customer needs are evaluated and detected (cash flow wise, storage capacity, inventory level, logistics) it starts with the development of a joint and continuous working agenda. Specific action ítems are established. On one side the permanent commitment of Century Metals on the delivery of the best materials, over a convened period of time, complying with the material established specs and standards, at the best available prices on the market.
Basic concept which supports Century working philosophy is the establishment of a long term commercial relationship. Our company is not interested on a sale concept by itself, but on a permanent supporting relationship in terms of service (includes constant technical support), quality, mutual respect.

Under the above scheme, the basic strength found by our associates is the never ending raw material supply guarantee. Constant monitoring of the following variables therefore is a must:

i) Raw material consumption of our associates throughout the year as well as permanent floor inventory control. Constant statistical consumption reporting and MRP is given to our associates as supporting information. This is fully controlled by our Operations Department. As complimentary service, replenishment suggestions are made with quantities and time frames.

ii) International price monitoring.

iii) Worldwide raw material supply and demand.

One of the most important team work tasks is the establishment of consumption projections for a period of time. Usually this time frame is 2 to 3 months. Once consumption is established Century develops the MRP. This part will imply involvement of Purchasing, Production and any other pertinent department.

Forecast performance against actual figures is being evaluated on a permanent basis. This evaluation is important to assure tool performance. Corrections might take place thus improving forecast performance. Afterwards statistics are elaborated as well as purchasing recommendations.
All collected information will become the know-how to be used for future purchases.

CUSTOMER PROGRAM

As an ally, Century provides its “customer program” with cash flow ease. How is this possible?

Our regular “customer program” user usually is not required to pay the material purchase in advance. Upon arrival, raw material will be invoiced based on the pre-established time frame consumption.
