CEO Misael Rosario nominated for “Entrepreneur of the Year” for Hispanic Business on 2007

Born in Puerto Rico, Mr. Rosario, was first introduced to the metal industry at the age of 15, when he began working as a part-time inventory control clerk.

While attending the Inter-American University of Puerto Rico, where he obtained a bachelor’s degree in computer sciences, Mr. Rosario began working for a local steel distributor, and after six months, became head of the export division.

In 1988, Mr. Rosario started Century Metals and Supplies Inc., which grew from $1.4 million in sales to more than $40 million last year. He has since opened branches in Puerto Rico, Costa Rica, Peru, and the United States. Due to his leadership skills Mr. Rosario was nominated on the “Entrepreneur of the Year” for Hispanic Business on 2007.
